According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine currently has a limited number of Flamingo missiles, but the strikes have produced results. Previously, Ukrainian forces targeted the base of the Russian Oreshnik missile system.

At the same time, the President stressed the need to increase Flamingo production.

"Now, it's important to increase the numbers: one major production line was destroyed by a missile strike. But I can already say that it has been relocated and production has resumed," Zelenskyy said.

Flamingo missile strikes on Russia

About a week ago, the Ukrainian General Staff reported that in January, the Defense Forces carried out a series of strikes on the Kapustin Yar training ground in Russia, from where Oreshnik missiles are launched at Ukraine.

According to military sources, the strikes used long-range Ukrainian-made missiles, including the FP-5 Flamingo.

The attacks damaged several buildings at the site, heavily damaged one hangar, and forced some personnel to evacuate.

In addition, on the night of February 12, Ukrainian forces struck an arsenal storing missiles, ammunition, and explosives for the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate of Russia's Ministry of Defense near Kotluban in the Volgograd region.

Ukraine's General Staff confirmed that the strikes used Ukrainian FP-5 Flamingo missiles.
