Prince Harry after reunion with Charles: 'Focus really has to be on my dad'

Prince Harry, who recently visited Kyiv, hinted that he wants to rebuild his relationship with his father, King Charles, after their recent reunion in the United Kingdom, People reports.
Visit to England and meeting with the king
The 41-year-old Duke of Sussex recently traveled to England, where he took part in charity events, spoke at the WellChild Awards ceremony, and met with his father, whom he had not seen for 19 months.
Their meeting took place on September 10 at Clarence House and lasted about an hour.

'Focus really has to be on my dad'
During his trip to Ukraine, Harry noted that he does not want their meeting with the king to be a one-off.
"The focus really has to be on my dad," he said.
The prince also stressed that he would like to visit the UK more often and someday bring his children there — 6-year-old Archie and 4-year-old Lilibet.
"This week has definitely brought that closer," the Duke of Sussex added.
Meghan and advice related to 'truth'
Harry also mentioned his wife, 44-year-old Meghan Markle, who, according to him, always advises him to speak the truth.
"She said, 'Just stick to the truth.' It is the thing I always fall back on. Always," he said.
The conversation also touched on Harry's memoir Spare (2023), where he candidly described his life in the royal family.

"The book? It was a series of corrections to stories already out there. One point of view had been put out, and it needed to be corrected. I don’t believe that I aired my dirty laundry in public. It was a difficult message, but I did it in the best way possible. My conscience is clear," the duke said.
He emphasized that his actions are not about revenge but about principles.
"It's not stubbornness, it is having principles ... It is not about revenge, it is about accountability. You cannot have reconciliation before you have truth," the Duke of Sussex said.
Is reconciliation possible?
According to People, the relationship between father and son had long been strained: Charles did not answer Harry's calls, and his messages went unanswered.
However, in July, there was a significant meeting between representatives of the king and the duke, which insiders described as "an olive branch" on the path to reconciliation.
"It was a good first step. It is always better to be talking," a source told the outlet.
'He's obviously loved being back'
After his visit to England, Harry's spokesman emphasized that he had welcomed his return home.
"He's obviously loved being back in the UK, catching up with old friends, colleagues, and just generally being able to support the incredible work of the causes that mean so much to him," those close to the prince shared.
He now lives in the United States with his wife, Meghan, and their children.
