Prince Harry made his second unannounced visit to Ukraine on September 12. This time, he arrived in Kyiv and made an important statement, according to a post by the Superhumans center on Instagram.

Heartfelt words from Prince Harry in Kyiv

The Duke of Sussex arrived at the city’s train station by train. He was later seen near the Museum of the History of Ukraine in World War II.

In Kyiv, he met with over 250 Ukrainian veterans and participants of the Invictus Games.

Harry, who founded the Invictus Games, shared with the team how sport can serve as a tool for rehabilitation and reintegration into civilian life.

Afterwards, he visited the memorial at Maidan Nezalezhnosti (Independence Square) and a residential building destroyed during a recent Russian attack.

"Thank you to Ukraine, for showing the rest of the world who you really are. It’s incredibly powerful, and the world will always stand with Ukraine," he said.

What is known about Prince Harry’s visit

This is Harry’s second visit to Ukraine. In April, he traveled to Lviv with an Invictus Games delegation to support veterans. The Duke was invited to Kyiv by Olha Rudnieva, the CEO of the center.

The main purpose of his visit, according to the prince, was to ensure access to aid in all regions of the country.

"We cannot stop the war but what we can do is do everything we can to help the recovery process," he explained in a conversation with The Guardian.

Prior to his trip to Ukraine, Harry met with King Charles III. For the first time in a long while, father and son reunited amid prolonged disagreements. He also coordinated his visit with the royal family.
