Over the past month, fighters from the Alfa Special Operations Center have inflicted significant losses on Russian forces in the Pokrovsk area and its surroundings. Hundreds of militants and a large amount of equipment have been destroyed, according to the official statement from the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).
According to the SBU, in just one month, more than 1,500 invaders have been "neutralized" as a result of Alfa’s actions in the Pokrovsk direction. The agency claims that its units destroy over 20 pieces of enemy equipment daily.
The service emphasizes that following the escalation of the operational-combat situation in this sector of the front, the number of special forces in the region has significantly increased. Alfa carries out complex tasks in the hottest spots, delivers precise strikes on enemy units, and conducts raid operations behind enemy lines.
The statement also notes that over the past month, the SBU has struck 39 artillery systems, including multiple launch rocket systems used to attack Pokrovsk.
To enable successful drone strikes, the agency reports having destroyed 18 enemy air defense and electronic warfare systems.
In addition, as a result of a series of raids behind the front line, the SBU says three large Russian fuel and ammunition depots were blown up.
According to the special service, the total losses are as follows:
-
Over 1,500 personnel;
-
20 tanks;
-
62 armored vehicles;
-
39 artillery systems and MLRS;
-
10 air defense systems;
-
8 electronic warfare and reconnaissance systems;
-
532 vehicles;
-
592 enemy positions and fortifications;
-
2 ammunition depots and 1 fuel depot.
The SBU adds that all enemy targets struck have been confirmed by video evidence. According to the report, the special service operates "professionally and precisely," using armor-piercing weapons and drone systems both on the front line and deep behind enemy lines.
Situation on the front
Russian forces continue to concentrate their main efforts in the Pokrovsk direction, attempting to encircle the city and nearby settlements.
Fighting is also ongoing inside Pokrovsk, where, according to RBC-Ukraine’s sources, approximately one thousand Russian troops have managed to break through.
Yesterday, November 3, the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces reported that Ukrainian troops managed to halt the enemy’s advance on the northern outskirts of the city and prevented the cutting of an important logistical route.
At the same time, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi stated that Ukrainian units continue counteroffensive actions in the Dobropillia direction, where assault groups have achieved certain successes.
