Polish presidential candidate vows to block Ukraine’s NATO bid

Polish presidential candidate Karol Nawrocki has officially agreed to the demands of anti-Ukraine Confederation party leader Sławomir Mentzen in exchange for his support in the second round of voting, including a pledge to oppose Ukraine’s accession to NATO, according to TVN24.
According to the outlet, Mentzen invited Nawrocki for a conversation on his YouTube channel, saying the goal was to help voters decide which candidate to support in the runoff election. Nawrocki’s rival, ruling party candidate Rafał Trzaskowski, received a similar invitation.
During the discussion, Mentzen asked Nawrocki about his 8-point declaration, the list of requirements he prepared for his two interlocutors.
For example, point 4 states: "I will not allow Polish soldiers to be sent to Ukrainian territory." Nawrocki agreed.
Point 5 reads: "I will not sign any law ratifying Ukraine’s accession to NATO." The presidential candidate also backed this position.
"Of course, today the discussion around Ukraine’s NATO membership is completely groundless. Ukraine’s accession would put the entire North Atlantic Alliance at war with the Russian Federation," Nawrocki commented.
After that, Nawrocki signed the Mentzen Declaration live on air.
