The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland strongly condemned the recent missile and drone attacks launched by Russia against Ukraine over the past several days, according to the ministry's official account on X.

"We strongly condemn Russia's missile and drone attacks targeting Ukrainian civilians, which have killed 12 people, including three children," the statement reads.

Poland’s Foreign Ministry emphasized that Ukraine seeks peace and is open to a ceasefire, but Russia continues its ruthless strikes on civilian infrastructure.

"The only path to ending the war is by increasing support for Ukraine and applying pressure on Russia," the ministry added.

Massive strikes on Ukraine

Over the past three days, Russian forces have launched the largest wave of missile and drone attacks on Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

On the night of Monday, May 26, Russia struck Ukraine with cruise missiles launched from strategic bombers and deployed more than 350 attack drones and decoy UAVs.

The night before, on May 25, Russian forces targeted the country with ballistic and cruise missiles, along with nearly 300 Shahed drones. The attack killed 12 people, including three children, and left dozens injured.

In an interview with RBC-Ukraine, expert Valerii Klochok said that Russian President Vladimir Putin's bold behavior is influenced by the stance of US President Donald Trump.

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz stated that Germany, France, the UK, and the United States are not restricting Ukraine from using Western missiles to strike targets inside Russia.
