The police confirmed that five people were injured as a result of the nighttime drone strike on the Darnytskyi district of Ukraine’s capital, according to the press service of the National Police of Ukraine.

“In the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv, 5 people were injured due to the drone attack, including a young child; the police are documenting the consequences,” the statement reads.

It is specified that during the Shahed attack, the blast wave damaged windows in a multi-story residential building from the 6th to the 11th floors.

The injured sustained shrapnel wounds. Among them was a two-year-old girl diagnosed with cut wounds on her foot.

"Doctors have hospitalized the injured. Several cars parked in the yard of the building were also damaged. Investigative and operational police teams, as well as bomb disposal experts, are working at the scenes. Law enforcement officers are documenting another war crime committed by the Russian army," the police concluded.

Russia attacked Ukraine on July 28

Russia launched strike drones of the Shahed type and missiles at Ukraine. Explosions in Kyiv began in the evening.

In the Darnytskyi district of the Ukrainian capital, windows were blown out in a multi-story residential building. As a result, people were injured, including a child. The regional military administration reported eight wounded, while Kyiv’s mayor, Vitalii Klitschko, mentioned five injured.

A series of explosions also occurred in Kropyvnytskyi. The Kirovohrad regional administration reported that the city experienced an enemy drone attack. Emergency services were dispatched to the impact sites.
