As a result of the Russian Shahed drone strike on Kyiv, at least five people were injured, states Timur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.

“In the Darnytskyi district, the enemy attack caused windows to be blown out in a residential high-rise building. One person was initially reported injured,” he said.

Later, Tkachenko confirmed that at least five people were injured in the Darnytskyi district.

Starting from the evening, explosions have been intermittently heard in the Ukrainian capital amid ongoing air defense operations.

Updated at 3:01 a.m.Kyiv time: The number of injured has risen to eight. One of the victims is reported to be in serious condition.

Updated at 4:39 a.m.: According to Mayor Vitalii Klitschko, five people were injured, including a child.

“Four of the injured were hospitalized. All of them are residents of the multi-story apartment building where the blast wave damaged windows from the 6th to the 11th floors in one of the entrances,” he reported.

Shahed drone attack on July 28

In the evening, Russian forces once again launched Shahed attack drones across Ukraine. Air raid alerts were issued in several regions, including threats to western oblasts.

In Kyiv, explosions were reported throughout the evening during the drone attack. Mayor Vitalii Klitschko warned that air defense systems were actively engaging enemy drones.

Later, a new group of drones entered the area, and explosions were also heard in Zaporizhzhia.
