Ukraine is the only country in the world that defends itself from ballistic missiles. Therefore, the country needs more Patriot air defense systems, according to Twitter (X) of the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Kuleba.

Spain

Kuleba met with his Spanish counterpart, José Manuel Albares, and personally thanked him for Spain's reliable support.

"I conveyed the urgency of providing Ukraine with additional Patriots and other air defense systems capable of intercepting ballistic missiles," the minister stated.

They also discussed the importance of collective efforts to strengthen Ukraine's defense in order to ensure peace in Europe.

Poland

Kuleba also met with the head of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Radosław Sikorski. They discussed how Poland could assist in the protection of Ukraine's airspace from Russian missiles and how to defend Polish airspace from their intrusions.

"Ukraine is currently the only country in the world that defends itself against ballistic missile attacks almost every day," Kuleba said.

He explained that all available Patriot batteries worldwide, which could be provided to Ukraine, should be delivered to Ukraine as quickly as possible. The minister added that there is no more important place for them.

Not the first calls to transfer more Patriot systems to Ukraine

At the end of February, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the transfer of ten Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems to Ukraine would have a fundamental impact on the situation in the war with Russia.

Yesterday, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that Ukraine needs Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems and other air defense systems. They are intended to protect lives.

Later, President Zelenskyy, reacting to the shelling of Kharkiv, asked why Patriots, which are plentiful in the world, have not yet closed the sky over the regional center.
