Russian forces launched a night attack on Ukraine using Shahed-type drones. Air Force successfully destroyed all enemy targets, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.

"Overnight, Russian occupiers carried out another aviation strike using 2 UAVs of the Shahed-136/131 type. All enemy drones were successfully eliminated," according to a statement from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, it was reported that the combat drones moved from the southern direction through central regions towards the Khmelnytskyi region. Additionally, explosions and air defense operations were reported in the Khmelnytskyi region by the Khmelnytskyi Regional State Administration.

Shahed attacks on January 5

Recalling the events of January 5, yesterday, occupiers targeted Ukraine with two waves of Shahed drones – in the evening and early morning. The Air Force reported that Russians deployed 29 drones, and air defense forces successfully downed 21 of them.

In Cherkasy, falling debris damaged power lines; in Mykolaiv, there were impacts within the premises of an enterprise. In the Kherson region, drones targeted a modular settlement.
