The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has released part of a video from operation Spiderweb, during which Russian strategic aviation was targeted, according to the SBU press service.

The SBU recalled that during the operation, which was personally overseen by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and implemented by SBU chief Vasyl Malyuk and the SBU's team, 41 Russian aircraft were hit.

It is known that a significant part of them has been irretrievably destroyed, and some of the damaged aircraft will take many years to rebuild.

The published footage shows FPV drones of the SBU striking four enemy airfields: Olenya, Ivanovo, Dyagilevo, and Belaya. These airfields were home to the Russian strategic aviation, which regularly launches attacks on peaceful Ukrainian cities.

Among the aircraft that were hit are the A-50, Tu-95, Tu-22, Tu-160, as well as the An-12 and Il-78.

During the operation, an advanced drone control technology was used, combining autonomous artificial intelligence algorithms with manual operator intervention.

"Some of the UAVs, after losing signal, switched to mission execution using AI along a pre-programmed route. Once they approached and made contact with a specifically designated target, the warhead was automatically triggered," the SBU reported.

Operation Spiderweb

On Sunday, June 1, the Security Service of Ukraine carried out a unique historic operation to destroy Russian strategic bombers used by the enemy to strike Ukrainian territory.

As SBU chief Vasyl Malyuk later reported, 41 Russian aircraft were hit as a result of the attack.
