Enemy soldiers had allegedly "started terrorizing" Ukrainian observation posts, the Telegram channel added.
Demchenko’s response
In a comment to RBC-Ukraine, the spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Andrii Demchenko, reacted to such rumors about the Chernihiv region.
"In the defense areas where State Border Guard Service units are stationed, no increase in enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group activity has been observed. At the same time, of course, this threat remains and has not disappeared," he noted.
Russia may drag Belarus deeper into the war again
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russia wants Belarus to deepen its involvement in the war against Ukraine. Moscow has already discussed the issue with the Belarusian self-proclaimed president, Alexander Lukashenko.
According to Zelenskyy, Russia is currently considering several operations involving Belarusian territory.
One scenario involves an attack along the Chernihiv-Kyiv direction. Another would involve an attack on one of the NATO member states.
The president noted that, against this backdrop, Ukraine will strengthen its defenses in the north.
