Odesa hit overnight as homes and shopping center damaged, injuries reported

On the night of April 30, Russia launched two waves of massive strikes on Odesa. The Prymorskyi district suffered the greatest destruction — multi-story buildings were ablaze, and a kindergarten was severely damaged. In total, 16 people were injured, two of whom are in intensive care in serious condition, according to the Telegram channel of the head of the Odesa City Military Administration, Oleh Kiper.
Prymorskyi district — the greatest destruction
The strikes targeted residential areas and civilian infrastructure in various parts of the city. The Prymorskyi district was hit hardest: a multi-story building and a five-story residential building were damaged — large-scale fires broke out on the upper floors and roofs, which firefighters managed to contain.
Private houses in the central part of the city were also damaged.

Kindergarten, hotel, and dozens of cars
The kindergarten building suffered significant damage. A shopping center, a hotel, and administrative premises were also damaged.

At several parking lots, dozens of buses and cars have been destroyed or damaged.
In the Khadzhybeiskyi district, the strikes hit infrastructure facilities, warehouse buildings, and a garage cooperative.

Injured
16 people were injured, including a 17-year-old boy. Two are in intensive care in serious condition; doctors are fighting for their lives.
One man has been hospitalized in the trauma department; the rest received medical assistance on site or have been referred for outpatient treatment.
More than 280 specialists and 68 units of equipment have been deployed to deal with the aftermath. Emergency response centers have been set up for residents of the damaged buildings.
The city in southern Ukraine is under Russian attacks almost daily.
On the night of April 27, Odesa suffered a massive strike by Russian drones. The enemy attack damaged multi-story buildings and a hotel; there were casualties, including children. One of the city's districts was hit hardest.
The day before, on April 26, Russian forces also attempted to attack the region. The enemy then damaged the port and logistics infrastructure facilities, a cargo storage tank, administrative buildings, and cargo transport. In addition, a civilian vessel flying the flag of Palau, which was in port during loading, was damaged.
