Obama supports Harris's candidacy for US president
Former US President Barack Obama has officially endorsed Kamala Harris' candidacy for the presidency.
“Earlier this week, Michelle and I called our friend Kamala Harris. We told her we think she’ll make a fantastic President of the United States, and that she has our full support,” Obama writes.
The ex-president promised to help Harris and said he would “do everything we can to make sure she wins in November.”

Harris running for US presidency
US Vice President Kamala Harris replaced the current US leader Joe Biden in the election race. He recently announced that he would not run for the US presidency.
Harris has not yet been officially nominated as the Democratic candidate, but it is expected to happen by August 7. Kamala Harris remains the only potential candidate. According to polls, her rating is currently only 1% lower than that of Republican Donald Trump.
Former US President Barack Obama was one of the few prominent Democrats who had not yet publicly endorsed Harris. The media noted that Obama had privately promised to help Harris. His public support could affect the candidate's rating.
