Biden announces his withdrawal from election race
US President Joe Biden announces that he is withdrawing from the presidential race.
“It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as your President. And while it has been my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term,” the president wrote.
He also noted that he would address the citizens of the United States later this week with more details about his decision.

Biden supported Harris' candidacy
Later, the US President published another post on social media, in which he suggested that Democrats choose Kamala Harris, the current US Vice President, as their candidate.
“My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President. And it's been the best decision I've made. Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats - it's time to come together and beat Trump. Let's do this,” Biden stated.
Talk of Biden dropping out of the race for the presidency began after Biden's debate failure with his main opponent, Donald Trump.
After that night, Democrats and the rest of the world began to watch the current US president closely and noticed more and more gaffes during his speeches.
RBC-Ukraine prepared an article explaining whether Biden's gaffes affect his rating.
The Democratic Party, meanwhile, issued a statement that Biden should refuse to run in this year's presidential election, as he has zero chance of winning.
Instead, Biden insisted that he had no plans to leave the campaign. The head of the White House even wrote a letter to the Democrats.
Later, however, Biden explained the conditions under which he might withdraw from the US presidential election.
