Number of injured in Russia's massive attack on Kyiv surpasses 90

After Russia’s large-scale overnight attack, residents of the capital continue to seek medical assistance. The latest data shows that the number of people injured in Kyiv has risen to 91, according to the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko.
The number of injured continues to rise
Following Russia’s massive strike on Kyiv during the night of May 24, new casualties continue to be recorded across the city.
"After yesterday’s attack, Kyiv residents continue to seek medical help. The number of injured has risen to 91 people," Tymur Tkachenko said.
Russia launched 690 aerial targets against Ukraine
Ukraine’s Air Force reported that during the night of May 24, Russia carried out a combined attack on Ukraine using various types of missiles and strike drones. Kyiv was the main target of the attack.
In total, Ukraine’s radio-technical troops detected 690 aerial attack assets. These included ballistic missiles, Kinzhal air-launched ballistic missiles, Zircon missiles, Iskander-M missiles, S-400 missiles, as well as Kh-101, Kalibr, and Iskander-K cruise missiles.
In addition, Russian forces used 600 drones of various types, including Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, Banderol, and Parodiya decoy drones.
How many targets were destroyed by air defense
According to preliminary data as of 09:30 a.m., Ukraine’s air defense forces destroyed or suppressed 604 aerial targets. Air defense units shot down 55 missiles and 549 drones of various types.
During the night of May 24, Russian forces used the RS-26 Rubezh intermediate-range ballistic missile, also known as Oreshnik, against the Kyiv region during the massive attack on Ukraine.
Russian forces struck every district of Kyiv. Significant destruction was recorded in the Lukianivka district, where large fires broke out after the attack. As a result of a direct hit, the Kvadrat shopping mall was completely burned down. The building suffered critical damage, leaving behind charred structures and piles of debris.
