At night, Russia struck virtually every district of the capital. One of the most densely populated areas — Lukianivka — was heavily damaged, with numerous fires breaking out.
RBC-Ukraine visited the scene and, in this report, shows the aftermath of yet another Russian war crime.
Kvadrat shopping mall burned to the ground
One of the consequences of the strike is the Kvadrat shopping and entertainment centre in Lukianivka. The building took a direct hit and was engulfed in flames.
The footage shows a charred structure, debris, and remnants of signage. Virtually nothing remains of the mall.

Attack on Kyiv on May 24: What is known about the consequences
On the night of May 24, Russia launched a massive attack on Kyiv. Ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and attack drones were aimed at the city. Debris fell in several districts; there are wounded.
As a result of the attack in the Shevchenkivskyi district, an enemy drone hit a 9‑story residential building. A fire broke out between the 8th and 9th floors; there is one fatality.
As RBC-Ukraine reported, during the same attack, projectiles hit two schools in the Shevchenkivskyi district. In one of them, the entrance to a shelter with people inside was blocked.
The Kyiv Regional Military Administration stated that tonight Russia struck all districts of the Kyiv region — with drones, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles.
The blast wave from the strike also damaged the Lukianivska metro station — the station's vestibule was affected.
