On the night of October 19, Russian forces shelled the Shostka community in the Sumy region. The number of those injured in the attack has risen to 11, according to Shostka Mayor Mykola Noga.

According to the mayor, Russia launched a massive attack on the Shostka community last night. The enemy struck the area with guided bombs and Shahed-type attack drones, three of which were shot down by air defense forces.

Preliminary reports indicate that one man was killed, and eleven people were wounded with varying degrees of severity.

"Many critical infrastructure sites, two schools, a kindergarten, a clinic, several medical facilities, and 28 apartment buildings were damaged. Most of the community remains without electricity and water," Noga said.

The mayor added that emergency repair operations are underway at the disaster sites, and debris removal work is being completed.

A headquarters has been established to manage the aftermath of the enemy attack, where owners of damaged homes can seek assistance. Points of Invincibility and backup generators are operational.
