Russians attacked a fire station in Shostka, Sumy region, on the night of October 19. Rescuers were injured, according to the State Emergency Service.

Russian aircraft attacked a fire and rescue unit in Shostka at night. The building of the unit was partially destroyed. At the time of the attack, the personnel was in a shelter.

Five rescuers were wounded in the attack and hospitalized.

The building and six units of the SES equipment were damaged.

Number of victims increased to 8

According to the prosecutor's office, Russians dropped three guided aerial bombs on the central part of Shostka.

Eight people were wounded in the attack. Educational and medical facilities, premises of several institutions, residential buildings, and vehicles were damaged.

Law enforcement officers opened a criminal case over the violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The prosecutor's office reported that the body of a dead man was found under the rubble in one of the buildings in Shostka.

Shelling of Ukraine

On the night of October 19, Russians attacked the Sumy region with guided bombs and drones. Energy and infrastructure facilities were damaged. Seven casualties were reported.

After the attack, emergency power outage schedules were introduced in parts of the Sumy region.

Russians also shelled a critical infrastructure facility in the Chernihiv region.

They also tried to attack Kyiv with drones. Debris fell in one of the districts, and local authorities reported one woman injured.
