The round-the-clock Russian attack on Ukraine signals that the enemy intends to continue the war against the rear, according to Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation under the RNBO (The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine), on Telegram.

According to him, the Russian forces are attempting to achieve intensive Shahed drone strikes on Ukraine throughout a single day. They pursued a similar goal back in 2025. However, to implement such a strategy now, Russia had to accumulate resources. It is not capable of sustaining such attacks consistently.

"These actions by the Russians indicate only that they are focused on continuing the war against the rear, and they also want to escalate their efforts to a level that could overwhelm Europe’s air defenses in the event of air strikes on NATO countries," Kovalenko emphasized.

He pointed out that the destruction of Russian production capacities, supply chains, and capabilities must become a priority for Ukraine.

"It is unfortunate that in 2026 this is still not clear to everyone in democracies," added the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation.

Massive strike on Ukraine

Russian forces have been attacking Ukraine with drones since March 23. On the night of March 24, the enemy also used missiles to strike Ukraine.

According to the Air Force, since yesterday evening, Russia has launched nearly 1,000 strike drones across Ukraine.

During the daytime attack, the enemy struck peaceful cities in western Ukraine. In Lviv, residential buildings were hit. In Ivano-Frankivsk, the Russian army targeted the city center, damaging two maternity hospitals.

Ukrainian defenders managed to shoot down 541 Russian drones from 9 a.m. Kyiv time on March 24.
