The meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska will be held in a three-on-three format, the White House announced, according to Sky News.

A White House representative told the outlet that the previously planned one-on-one meeting between Trump and Putin will now be in a three-on-three format.

According to him, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Trump's envoy Steve Witkoff will take part in the talks.

The meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska is scheduled for August 15 at 22:00 Kyiv time.

The Kremlin stated that the meeting will last six or seven hours.

As reported earlier, Trump is to personally greet Putin upon his arrival in Anchorage. The summit itself will be held behind closed doors, followed by official statements and press conferences from both sides.

It is also known that Trump has already arrived in Alaska.
