The meeting between Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska could last a total of 6–7 hours, states Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, according to RIA Novosti.

According to Peskov, a one-on-one discussion with the participation of aides is expected first. After that, negotiations with the full delegations are planned. They might take place in the format of a working lunch.

The spokesperson clarified that afterwards, the leaders will separate for a while. A joint press conference may follow.

"In general, one can imagine that this will take at least 6–7 hours," he said.

Meeting between Trump and Putin

The start of the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump in Alaska is scheduled for 10:00 p.m. Kyiv time.

Both Trump and Putin have already departed for Alaska. According to monitoring services, Putin’s plane is expected to land around 9:00 p.m. Kyiv time, or possibly even earlier.

Earlier, unnamed senior US officials told NBC News that Trump is expected to personally greet Putin upon his arrival in Anchorage.

During the meeting, the sides plan to discuss resolving Russia’s war against Ukraine, as well as bilateral relations.
