To prevent the contents of the new US peace agreement from leaking, its copies in Geneva were taken away from everyone except the heads of the delegations, states First Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Sergiy Kyslytsya, according to the Financial Times.

According to him, after the negotiations between the Ukrainian and US delegations, copies of the peace plan were handed over only to the heads of the delegations — Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak and US Secretary of State Mark Rubio.

All copies of the document held by other participants in the negotiations were collected after the meetings concluded.

Now, the delegation heads will present the developed draft to the Presidents of Ukraine and the US.

On 23 November, Ukrainian officials met with US counterparts in Geneva to adjust the US peace plan. According to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, many changes are being made, and President Donald Trump’s team is beginning to listen to Ukraine.

Mark Rubio also stated that it was a very productive meeting. Head of the Ukrainian delegation Andriy Yermak said that the meeting went very well.

According to Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov, who participated in the consultations, the current version of the plan already reflects most of Ukraine’s priorities.

On 24 November, the Financial Times reported that the US peace plan had been cut by almost a third. Currently, the document contains 19 points instead of the initial 28.

Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Heorhii Tykhyi said that Ukraine and the US had agreed on an updated version of the peace plan. He emphasized that especially sensitive issues would be discussed personally by Presidents Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Donald Trump.
