Nighttime explosion in Bryansk region: Russian ammunition depot on fire
An explosion occurred overnight in Russia's Bryansk region. The 67th Arsenal of the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Defense came under attack, Andrii Kovalenko, Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation under Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council, reports.
According to Kovalenko, a strike hit the arsenal, followed by a broken fire, as the footage on Russian Telegram channels reveals.
Kovalenko stated that the site housed artillery munitions, including North Korean shells "for their systems." In addition, this military facility contained guided aerial bombs, anti-aircraft missiles, and ammunition for multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).
First attack on arsenal in October
The same 67th Arsenal of the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Defense was previously hit by drones on the night of October 9, as the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine officially confirmed.
Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces conducted the operation in coordination with other military units of the Defense Forces.
"According to available information, the storage site housed munitions for missile and artillery systems, including those delivered from North Korea, as well as guided aerial bombs. A significant portion of these munitions was stored in open areas," the General Staff of Ukraine reported.
Explosions were recorded on the site during the attack, resulting in local authorities blocking nearby roads.
The General Staff emphasized that strikes on such arsenals cause substantial logistical problems for Russian forces, significantly weakening their offensive capabilities in critical directions.
