NATO has taken control of the transfer of military equipment to Ukraine. The mission is also responsible for training Ukrainian soldiers, Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz noted.

The head of the Polish Ministry of Defense visited the POLLOG HUB logistics center in Jasionka, through which military aid is delivered to Ukraine, and also met with the soldiers stationed there.

He emphasized that the logistics hub is protected not only by Polish and Norwegian military personnel but also by American and German soldiers.

Kosiniak-Kamysz added that previously, the process of supplying equipment through the hub in Poland was primarily a bilateral relationship between Ukraine and the United States, supported by Poland, the United Kingdom, and other countries. However, since the NATO summit in July 2024, a new mission called NSAT-U has been established.

"The NATO mission, which is responsible for transferring equipment to Ukraine, meaning logistical support, is also responsible for the training of Ukrainian soldiers and the acquisition of operational skills for the post-war period of the Ukrainian army," he explained.

Logistics center in Jasionka

It should be noted that after the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, a special logistics center was established in Poland near the Ukrainian border. POLLOG HUB is located in Jasionka.

Through this logistics hub, military aid from international partners is delivered to Ukraine. Since last year, security at the center has been strengthened. Germany and Norway have provided additional air defense systems to protect the hub.

At the beginning of March, the supply of military aid from the United States through Jasionka was temporarily halted. This occurred after a confrontation between Presidents Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the White House. However, the United States later resumed assistance to Ukraine.
