Unknown drones flew over Moscow and its suburbs on the night of December 15, according to Russian media.

During the night of December 15, an attack by unidentified drones was reported in Moscow and the Moscow region.

Explosions were reported by Russian social media channels and local residents.

In particular, residents of the Moscow-region city of Kashira reported the explosions. Moments of the blasts were captured on video.

On the evening of December 14, amid reports of drones approaching Moscow, authorities temporarily restricted operations at Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports, but air traffic was later restored.

Throughout the night, Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin periodically reported on drones being shot down over the Russian capital, bringing the total of 15 downed drones.

In the morning, the Russian Ministry of Defense claimed that 130 drones had been shot down, including 25 over the Moscow region.

Attacks on Moscow

On the night of December 11, Russian social media also reported unidentified drones approaching Moscow. In response, a red danger level was declared in the region, and Vnukovo, Domodedovo, Sheremetyevo, and Zhukovsky airports temporarily suspended operations.

Earlier, on November 30, drones were also reported flying over Moscow, prompting restrictions at Moscow airports. Explosions were heard in the Moscow region, with Russian media reporting three blasts in the suburb of Kolomna.

Before that, on October 27, explosions occurred in the Moscow area, with residents reporting drone attacks.
