The number of casualties in Kyiv due to yesterday's mass attack by Russia has once again increased. Currently, there are reports of 13 fatalities, according to the Telegram channel of Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko.

At 10:41, the mayor reported that rescuers recovered the bodies of two more people from under the rubble of a warehouse in the Shevchenkivskyi district. However, later the number of victims increased to 13.

Currently, there are also reports of 32 injured individuals, with 17 of them hospitalized in the city's medical facilities.

Missile attack on Ukraine on December 29

During the night of December 29, the enemy launched the most massive attack against Ukraine. Initially, terrorists attacked with Shahed drones, releasing a total of 36 UAVs. Additionally, during the attack, the enemy launched:

  • At least 90 air-launched cruise missiles X-101/X-555/X-55;
  • Five air-launched ballistic missiles X-47M2 Kinjal from the Astrakhan region;
  • Four anti-radiation missiles X-31P;
  • One X-59 missile;
  • 14 guided anti-aircraft missiles C-300, targeting Kharkiv.

In total, the enemy used 158 air attack assets, including various types of missiles and UAVs. The air defense destroyed 114 aerial targets.

Over Kyiv, the air defense destroyed more than 30 targets. The attack caused fires in residential buildings and warehouses in the capital. The clearance of debris at the warehouse in the Shevchenkivskyi district is ongoing.
