Massive shelling of Ukraine, destroyed children's hospital in Kyiv, security agreement with Poland - Monday brief
On the afternoon of July 8, Russia launched a large-scale attack on Ukraine. The Okhmatdyt children's hospital in Kyiv was destroyed. Meanwhile, Ukraine and Poland signed a bilateral agreement on security cooperation.

Russia hits Okhmatdyt in Kyiv with Kh-101 missile
Relevant evidence has already been found at the site of the tragedy. Fragments of the rear body of the Kh-101 missile with a serial number and part of the rudder of the same missile.
According to the latest data, two people were killed and 32 wounded sought medical care. Eight children were hospitalized with injuries.
30 of 38 Russian rockets intercepted
According to the commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykola Oleshchuk, Russia launched 38 missiles of various types against Ukraine.
In total, the following were shot down:
- 1/1 Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aerial ballistic missile;
- 3/4 Iskander-M ballistic missiles;
- 0/1 3M22 Zircon cruise missile;
- 11/13 Kh-101 cruise missiles;
- 12/14 Kalibr cruise missiles;
- 0/2 Kh-22 cruise missiles;
- 3/3 Kh-59/Kh-69 guided missiles.
Hits in Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih
Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine, firing nearly 40 missiles of various types. Kyiv, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, Sloviansk, and Kramatorsk were hit.
A nine-story residential building was damaged in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The number of victims and injured continues to grow.

Ukraine and Poland sign security agreement
The agreement was signed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on behalf of Ukraine, and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk on behalf of Poland.
The security agreement, a first among already signed bilateral documents, includes provisions for intercepting missiles and drones in Ukrainian airspace if they are directed toward Poland.
For the first time, a Ukrainian Legion will be created, which will train personnel of Ukraine's Security and Defense Forces on Polish territory. Ukrainian citizens temporarily residing in Poland and other countries will be able to join this legion.
Third Patriot, naval boats and Vector drones: Ukraine receives new weapons from Germany
Germany transferred a new military aid package to Ukraine. It included the third Patriot anti-aircraft missile system, missiles, and spare parts for it.
