Mass protests against the meeting between US President Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin will take place in Anchorage, Alaska, on August 14, according to a statement from the political organization Stand Up Alaska.

According to the organizers, the protest is scheduled for Thursday, August 14, one day before the summit aimed at resolving the Russia–Ukraine war through diplomatic means, with US mediation.

The event will be held under the slogan "Alaska Stands with Ukraine." Organizers are urging residents to take to the streets in support of Ukraine’s sovereignty in the context of Russian aggression.

The rally also aims to send a clear message to both Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin about Alaska’s firm stance against authoritarianism and war crimes.

The statement said that, with the governor’s approval, President Donald Trump had invited Vladimir Putin, and that the organizers were gathering to send a clear signal to both Trump and Putin that Alaska stood firmly against authoritarianism.

On Stand Up Alaska’s Facebook page, there is a direct call for locals to join the demonstration.

"Join us in Anchorage, Alaska, to protest an international war criminal's presence," the organizers urge.

Meeting between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin

US President Donald Trump will meet with Vladimir Putin in Alaska on August 15.

On Monday, August 11, Trump said he planned to demand that Putin end the war.

Meanwhile, Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski stated that the issue of ending the war launched by Russia cannot be resolved without the participation of Ukraine and Europe.

Denmark shares Poland’s position. Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen warned that any rushed attempt to reach an agreement with the Kremlin could have dangerous consequences. He cautioned against "the temptation to quickly strike a deal with Putin," describing such a scenario as "a pact with the devil."
