French President Emmanuel Macron condemned Russian strikes on Ukraine's critical infrastructure and warned Moscow it would face consequences for refusing to negotiate.

Macron stressed that the agreement reached in Gaza offers a glimmer of hope for peace in the Middle East. He added that the war in Ukraine must also end.

"If Russia persists in its obstinate warmongering and its refusal to come to the negotiating table, it will have to pay the price," Macron said.

The French President emphasized that his country condemns Russian attacks on Ukraine’s critical infrastructure, noting that the strikes target civilians ahead of winter.

"Together with our partners, we are exploring the necessary assistance to restore and secure essential services. France stands more than ever alongside Ukraine, fully engaged within the framework of the Coalition of the Willing," he added.

Overnight, Russian forces carried out targeted strikes on energy infrastructure in the Donetsk region, leaving the region completely without electricity.

In Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, restoration work is ongoing after a nighttime drone attack damaged critical infrastructure.

Earlier, on October 12, the Russian army launched several more drone groups. Air raid alerts sounded across multiple northern regions and twice in Kyiv. Explosions were reported in the Boryspil district, followed by power outages.

Additionally, Russia struck Chernihiv with a drone attack during the day, injuring three people.

Russian forces also hit an electrical substation in the Kyiv region, leaving three settlements without electricity.
