Russia's losses in Ukraine as of September 6: +1,390 troops and 33 artillery systems

Russian forces continue to incur heavy losses as the war in Ukraine grinds on. According to Ukraine's military report, the latest daily toll includes both personnel and a wide range of military equipment.
The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to September 6, 2026, are estimated to be:

Frontline situation
Ukrainian air defenses downed more than 4,600 Russian missiles and drones during massive attacks in August, while Ukrainian forces also destroyed over 50,000 Russian tactical drones, according to the Ministry of Defense.
Ukrainian forces reportedly hit multiple Russian military assets in the Bryansk region, targeting a radar station, an electronic warfare system, and a MESH network repeater.
