Alain Delon's background
The actor was born on November 8, 1935. His parents divorced when he was three years old. At 14, Delon was expelled from the boarding school he attended. His mother and stepfather then decided he would become a sausage maker.
However, at 17, Delon wanted to become a pilot. By that time, recruitment had already closed. Instead, the future actor became a recruit and was deployed to fight in Indochina as part of the paratrooper units of the French Marine Corps.

After his discharge, Delon returned to Paris and began working as a waiter in a brewery. However, he found this job very challenging and soon quit. Alain then began trying to break into the film industry, although producers initially turned him down, claiming he was too handsome.
