Russian forces launched an overnight attack on Kyiv using strike drones and ballistic missiles. Damage was reported in several districts of the city, according to the State Emergency Service (SES) on Telegram.

“Overnight, the capital once again came under enemy attack. Damage to residential buildings and civilian infrastructure has been recorded in several districts of the city,” the SES reported.

In the Pecherskyi district, debris caused a fire in a multi-story residential building. Rescuers saved 20 people, nine were injured, and five were handed over to medical personnel.

“In the Podilskyi and Desnianskyi districts, debris fell in open areas - with no fires or destruction,” rescuers added.

Beginning late on the evening of October 9, Russian forces launched attacks on Kyiv. The enemy sent drones toward the capital, causing multiple explosions to be heard throughout the night. It is known that nine people were injured as a result of the shelling of the city.

In addition, Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko stated that as a result of Russian strikes, the entire left bank of Kyiv lost power.

Russian forces also attacked Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia. The attacks caused fires and injuries among residents. It is reported that the enemy’s main targets were energy infrastructure facilities.

The Ministry of Energy noted that tonight, Russian troops launched a massive attack on energy infrastructure sites. Energy workers are taking all necessary measures to minimize the negative consequences.
