Kyiv building destroyed in Russian strike: Report from site

Russian forces attacked Kyiv overnight with missiles and drones. As a result of the strike, a fire broke out in a high-rise building in the Pecherskyi district of the capital.

According to rescuers, in the Pecherskyi district, debris hit a high-rise building, causing a fire.
A total of 20 people were evacuated from the building; nine sustained injuries, and five were hospitalized.
Judging by the photos, the fire affected several apartments on adjacent floors. It is reported that the rescuers managed to quickly bring the flames under control.
Russian strike on Kyiv – October 10
Starting late on the evening of October 9, Russia began attacks on Kyiv. The enemy launched drones toward the capital, causing multiple explosions to be heard. As a result of the attack, 9 people were reported injured in the city.
In addition, Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko noted that due to the Russian strikes, the entire left bank of Kyiv lost electricity.
The main targets of the enemy are energy infrastructure facilities. The Ministry of Energy stated that tonight, Russian forces are carrying out massive attacks on energy infrastructure. Energy workers are taking all necessary measures to minimize the negative consequences.
Also, due to the massive attack on Kyiv today, October 10, the metro will operate with significant restrictions. Train intervals will increase substantially, and some stations on the green line will be closed.
