Kyiv attack: Death toll rises, over 30 injured in latest strike

Russia launched another attack on Kyiv overnight. As of 3:00 p.m., more than 30 people have been reported injured and 8 killed as a result of the strike, according to Tymur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration.
"Kyiv residents continue to seek medical help following the overnight attack. As of 2:30 p.m., we've recorded 33 injured. Of those, 25 are in the Shevchenkivskyi district," Tkachenko wrote.
He also reported that rescuers recovered the body of an eighth victim from the rubble, killed by a Russian missile.
Overnight strike on Kyiv
On the night of Monday, June 23, Russian forces launched another combined attack on Ukrainian territory. The main targets were Kyiv and Bila Tserkva. Russia used kamikaze drones, as well as ballistic and cruise missiles.
According to Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, a Russian missile with a high-explosive fragmentation warhead struck a residential building in Kyiv. The missile pierced through the building, causing severe destruction.
