Russian invaders cynically attacked a residential area in Kryvyi Rih on the evening of April 4. An enemy missile with cluster munitions exploded in the air to cause greater damage.

The Russian Iskander-M missile was equipped with cluster warheads. It is designed to hit a larger area and affect more people. The missile exploded in the air above the residential area in Kryvyi Rih.

According to local authorities, 34 apartment buildings, six educational institutions, shops, businesses, infrastructure facilities, and vehicles were damaged.

The head of the City Defense Council, Oleksandr Vilkul, emphasized that there were no military objects, police, or critical infrastructure at the site of the missile strike on Kryvyi Rih.

One of the focal points of the impact was a children's playground, where many people were present at the time of the attack. Footage of the rescue operation at the playground in Kryvyi Rih quickly spread across social media, gaining attention from both Ukrainian and global media outlets.

As of the morning, the rescue operation in Kryvyi Rih has concluded, but the aftermath of the attack is still being dealt with. People are bringing flowers, sweets, and toys with ribbons to the playground to honor the memory of the victims.

As of the morning, it is confirmed that 18 people were killed in the missile attack, including nine children. More than 60 people were injured.

Forty victims remain in hospitals, including two children, aged 5 and 8, who were transported to Dnipro in critical condition. Another 17 people, including two children, are in serious condition.

It is also worth noting that after the missile strike, Russia launched a drone attack on Kryvyi Rih, targeting residential buildings. A woman was killed, and seven people were injured.

The city has declared April 7, 8, and 9 days of mourning for the victims of these terrorist attacks.
