Konotop shelling: Photos of aftermath of Russian attack
On the night of September 12, Russian forces launched a massive attack on Konotop, leaving 13 people injured. Photos of the aftermath have surfaced, citing the Sumy Regional Police.
“As of 8 AM, 14 civilians sought medical assistance, 7 apartment buildings, 1 private residential building, a medical and educational institution, 3 cars, a garage cooperative, a shop, and a banking institution were damaged,” the statement said.
According to the investigation, on the night of September 12, the enemy attacked critical and civilian infrastructure in Konotop, Sumy region, with a Shahed UAV, using methods of warfare prohibited by international law.
Police investigators have launched a criminal case under Article 438, "Violation of the Laws and Customs of War," of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Russian attack on Konotop
On the night of September 12, the Russian army carried out a large-scale attack on Konotop in the Sumy region. Several hits were recorded in the city, with reports of casualties.
The shelling also caused a critical power situation in Konotop. Initially, the city was left entirely without power due to the attack. Water will be supplied on a scheduled basis.
