Mass drone attacks by Russia
Recently, Christian Freuding, head of the Situation Center for Ukraine at Germany’s Ministry of Defense and a Bundeswehr major general, warned that Russia might be preparing to launch up to 2,000 drones simultaneously against Ukraine.
In response, Yurii Ihnat, spokesperson for the Ukrainian Air Force Command, urged caution when discussing such projections. He noted that while Russia’s drone attacks are intensifying, it’s important not to frighten the population unnecessarily.
"We should of course prepare for an increase in drone attacks, as the trend indicates," Ihnat stated, referring to speculation that Russia could launch up to a thousand drones per night in the near future.
