Kherson home hit by drone, fire erupts, two casualties

On the night of October 24, Russian forces attacked Kherson with strike drones, with one Shahed hitting a multi-story residential building, according to the Kherson Regional Military Administration on Telegram.
In the Dnipropetrovskyi district of Kherson, a Shahed drone struck a multi-story building, causing a fire.
An 80-year-old woman and a 52-year-old man were injured.
“Both sustained blast injuries and thermal burns. They were transported by ambulance to a hospital for medical treatment,” the Kherson Regional Military Administration reported.
Attack on Kherson on the night of October 21
Three days earlier, on the night of October 21, Russian forces also attacked Kherson with Shahed drones.
The strikes caused a fire. Falling debris resulted in partial destruction of a two-story building, damage to a school, and a garage housing a passenger car.
Three people were injured, with one rescued by emergency responders from under the rubble.
Shahed drone attacks across Ukrainian regions
Last night in Kherson, as in several other regions of Ukraine, air raid alerts were announced due to Shahed drones and KAB launches.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported enemy drones in the following areas:
- Northern, eastern, and southern Kharkiv region, heading mainly west;
- North of Okhtyrka in the Sumy region, heading west;
- West of Chernihiv, heading toward the city;
- Northern Kherson region, heading toward Kherson.
Earlier, on the night of October 23, Russian forces carried out a massive attack on Ukraine using 130 strike drones, including Shaheds, Herbers, and other types of UAVs. Ukrainian air defenses intercepted 92 of them.
Strikes were recorded at 25 drones across 11 locations, with debris from downed drones falling in another 11 locations.
