On the night of October 23, Russia attacked Ukraine with 130 Shahed, Gerbera, and other types of strike drones. Air defense forces destroyed 92 of them, according to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The attack lasted from the evening of October 22.
According to the military, all drones were launched by Russia from six directions — from Kursk, Millerovo, Shatalovo, Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), and Chauda (occupied Crimea). About 80 of them were Shaheds.
The air raid was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups, and air defense unmanned systems.
As of 08:30 a.m. local time, air defense forces had shot down or neutralized 92 enemy drones over the north and east of the country.
At the same time, 25 drones hit 11 locations, and in 11 more places, debris from downed drones was recorded.
The military added that the air raid alert was still ongoing since several enemy drones remained in the sky.
