US President's Special Envoy Keith Kellogg met in Kyiv with Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov. They discussed security guarantees and the PURL initiative, Umerov reported.

"A meeting was held in Kyiv with US Presidential Special Envoy Keith Kellogg. I thanked him for his work and personal commitment to strengthening Ukraine's security," Umerov said.

According to him, during the meeting they discussed security guarantees for Ukraine and practical steps to strengthen them.

"Special attention was given to the PURL initiative, which enables the financing of arms procurement in the United States. Seven countries have already joined the program, raising over $2 billion. Our goal is to involve as many European countries as possible in this initiative," the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council noted.

Kellogg's visit to Kyiv

Earlier today, September 11, sources of RBC-Ukraine reported that US President's Special Envoy Keith Kellogg arrived in Kyiv.

On his way to Ukraine, he was supposed to visit Poland at the direction of US President Donald Trump. According to CNN, when Kellogg was heading to Poland, the country was attacked by Russian drones.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has already held a meeting with Kellogg. The parties, in particular, discussed the purchase of Patriot systems for Ukraine.
