According to her, Brussels believes it is necessary to maintain pressure until the situation changes.
EU position on support for Ukraine
The High Representative emphasized that the European Union must continue providing Ukraine with the necessary resources for its defense.
She said this remains important until the Russian side changes its actions.
Additional decisions
Kallas also called for unblocking previously stalled initiatives within the EU, including the start of accession-related negotiation procedures with Ukraine in certain areas.
She added that discussions are underway on expanding funding through the European Peace Facility, as well as reviewing existing sanctions mechanisms and preparing new restrictive measures.
