Japan implemented new package of sanctions against Russia

In addition, Japan has expanded sanctions against 57 Russian and 27 Belarusian companies, as well as several legal entities from the UAE, Armenia, Syria, and Uzbekistan for assisting Russia in circumventing previously imposed sanctions by Japan and its allied countries.
Reportedly, the sanctions include measures against the Ural Civil Aviation Plant, the Central Research Institute Burevestnik, the Kazan Powder Plant, and the Eastern Shipyard, as well as the Patriot VPK, the Applied Physics Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Lavochkin Scientific and Production Association, and Russian Space Systems.
The Ministry of Japan has also decided to freeze the assets of individuals and companies associated with the Russian Federation. It is reported that Japan has frozen the assets of 19 individuals and 43 organizations directly involved in the invasion of Ukraine or the destabilization of eastern Ukraine.
Japan's sanctions against Russia
Japan has been supporting Ukraine since the early days of the full-scale invasion by Russia. Earlier, Japan and the United States agreed to impose new sanctions against Russia.
We also reported that the leaders of the United States, Japan, and South Korea announced plans to impose new sanctions against Russia.
Additionally, last week, Japan banned the export of goods to 36 companies, including those from Russia. The Japanese government expanded the list of companies requiring special permission for supplying goods. These restrictions are introduced due to concerns that these companies may produce weapons of mass destruction.
