Japan imposes sanctions against number of companies from Russia
Japan has imposed export restrictions on 36 companies, including those from Russia. The list of companies subject to sanctions.
The Japanese government has expanded the list of companies requiring special permission for the supply of goods. These restrictions are implemented due to concerns that these companies may be involved in the production of weapons of mass destruction. The list includes 36 entities, including those from Russia, China, North Korea, and Pakistan.
The companies that have come under restrictions include:
- Myasishchev Machine-Building Plant,
- Public Joint Stock Company Vympel,
- Ural Scientific Research Institute of Composite Materials,
- United Engine Corporation,
- ODK-Saturn,
- Turaevsky Plant of Special Constructions,
- Temp-Avia,
- Public Joint Stock Company Tactical Missile Weapons,
- Limited Liability Company Biological Synthesis Systems.
Japan's sanctions against Russia
Japan has been supporting Ukraine since the early days of the Russian invasion, providing humanitarian and financial aid while also implementing sanctions against Russia.
As previously reported, Japan and the United States reached an agreement to impose new sanctions against Russia.
Additionally, leaders of the United States, Japan, and South Korea have announced plans to introduce further sanctions against Russia.
