Japan is determined to support Ukraine to restore peace. Assistance from Japan

It is worth noting that today, on January 7, it became known that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan, Yoko Kamikawa, has arrived in Kyiv. In Ukraine, she met with her Ukrainian counterpart, Dmytro Kuleba, visited Bucha, Irpin, and intends to visit a shelter for refugees and women. It is worth mentioning that the joint briefing of the ministers took place in a shelter, as at that time, an air raid alarm was announced in Kyiv.

Recall that at the end of December, our country's state budget received approximately $950 million from Japan as part of World Bank projects for recovery and social protection.

Also, on December 7, 2023, the Prime Minister of Japan, Fumio Kishida, announced the readiness of his country to allocate $4.5 billion for Ukraine. The funds will be directed towards the country's recovery from the consequences of Russian aggression.
