Israeli strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities have set back the country’s nuclear program by only six months, according to The New York Times.

A US official reported that six B-2 bombers dropped 12 bunker-buster bombs on the Fordow nuclear facility, which is located deep underground.

At the same time, US Navy submarines launched 30 Tomahawk Land Attack Missiles (TLAM) at Iranian sites in Natanz and Isfahan.

According to a source, one B-2 bomber also dropped two bunker-buster bombs on Natanz.

Strikes on Iran

Israel launched Operation Rising Lion on June 13, targeting Iranian military and nuclear sites. Since then, dozens of top Iranian commanders and nuclear scientists involved in the country’s nuclear program have been eliminated. Israel has warned it will not stop until its objectives are met.

On the night of June 22, the US also struck Iranian targets. President Donald Trump confirmed that he authorized the operation and threatened Iran with further attacks.

The UN Secretary-General condemned the US strikes on Iran as a threat to global security, while Tehran vowed to continue its activities.
