Iran is considering the possibility of attacks on oil infrastructure linked to the United States, stated the commander of the naval forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Alireza Tangsiri, on X.

According to him, US-linked oil facilities may be considered equivalent to American military bases.

"As the list of targets is updated, oil facilities linked to the United States will be considered equivalent to US military bases and will become targets of powerful strikes," he emphasized.

Tangsiri also urged civilians to avoid such facilities.

"We warn citizens and workers to stay away from these sites," he concluded.

The military conflict in the Middle East began in late February 2026. US allies had warned of the risk of a large-scale escalation that could impact global energy markets.

On March 12, Donald Trump stated that the United States had effectively already won the war against Iran, although hostilities are ongoing. At the same time, Israel plans to continue its campaign for at least several more weeks.

According to The Wall Street Journal, some of Trump’s advisers are calling for an end to the war amid rising oil prices and the risks of a prolonged conflict.
