'I'm not happy about this': Trump states need to make a decision regarding war in Ukraine

US President Donald Trump stated that it is time to make decisions regarding the war in Ukraine. However, he is not happy about it, he made this statement while speaking to journalists at the White House.
While speaking to journalists, Trump was asked about Russia’s war against Ukraine, specifically about a recent comment by US Vice President J.D. Vance, who said that Russia is demanding too much in negotiations.
"Well, it's possible that he’s right. He may know some things, because I’ve been dealing with this and some other things. But we are getting to a point where some decisions are going to have to be made. I'm not happy about it," Trump responded.
Idea of a ceasefire
In March, the US proposed a full 30-day ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia. Kyiv immediately agreed, while Moscow set tough conditions.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov justified the refusal by claiming that during a ceasefire, Ukraine could allegedly receive new weapons and reinforcements. He also said there would be no one to monitor compliance with the truce on the front lines.
Meanwhile, State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce noted that if there is no progress, the US may step back from its role as a mediator in the negotiations.
Trump himself acknowledged that talks to end the war in Ukraine are more difficult than expected, and that reaching an agreement will require more time and effort.
Yesterday, Trump announced that he would make an important historic statement before his trip to Saudi Arabia.
