US House finally passes sweeping sanctions law against Russia

On Thursday, September 17, the US House of Representatives finally passed a bill on "hellish sanctions" against Russia and Iran. The document, authored by the late Senator Lindsey Graham, is now heading to the president for signature, according to Suspilne.
The document gives President Trump the authority to impose tariffs of up to 100% on countries that purchase Russian energy resources or help Russia evade sanctions.
Furthermore, the law provides for sanctions against Russian officials, banks, and the shadow fleet, while also extending existing sanctions against Iran.
On August 7, the US Senate already approved the hellish sanctions against Russia and Iran - 86 senators voted in favor of Lindsey Graham's bill, with 11 voting against.
