What is known about the Russian corvette
The Boykiy corvette (Project 20380) was built in 2011 and commissioned into Russia’s Baltic Fleet in 2013.
The vessel carries guided missile weaponry and is an active combat unit that Russian forces have used in operations near NATO borders.
Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces emphasized that the strike significantly weakens Russia’s naval capabilities in the Baltic region.
Ukrainian drones also attacked Moscow overnight. Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin reported alleged interceptions of drones and emergency services responding to debris impact sites.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed strikes on Kronstadt and Tambov. According to him, all three targets are linked to financing or supporting Russia’s military machine.
